How to cook perfect bison sausages!

Mmmm, bison sausage! We have so many delicious flavors. You must try them all!

We often get asked how to cook bison sausage. Well, it's pretty easy. Just follow the steps below to cook your sausage perfectly. It's a foolproof technique that one of our farmers' market customers shared with us, and we've used it ever since.

How do you cook an amazing bison sausage? Well, that's easy.

  • Let the meat thaw at room temperature. Submerge it in room temperature water to accelerate the process.
  • Add the thawed sausages to a sauce pan and cover with cold water.
  • Heat on high until the water starts to simmer.
  • Remove the sausages and add to a fry pan on medium heat.
  • Brown all sides of the sausage in the fry pan.
  • Remove from heat and let these flavor-packed bison sausages rest for a couple of minutes.

Now enjoy! These sausage are great on a crusty roll with mustard or can be eaten plain to enjoy the bold flavor.
