Shipping policy

All orders are shipped Monday and Tuesday, and you can expect to receive your order within 2 days based on your location. Any order placed by 2 pm EST on Tuesday will be included in that week's shipments. You should receive your order in 1-2 business days.

We do our best to keep your bison completely frozen throughout its travels; however, some of the smaller cuts may arrive partially thawed. It is completely safe and healthy to put everything in your order back in the freezer without any worry of loss of quality, or your bison should still be cold and can be enjoyed fresh. Only when the meat has arrived at a temperature above 40 degrees Fahrenheit should you avoid refreezing.

FAILED SHIPMENT & ORDER PROTECTION POLICY: We do our best to ensure your bison meat arrives in perfect condition. However, shipping mishaps can happen.

  • For Orders with Order Protection: If you purchased Order Protection at checkout, your package is fully insured against being lost, spoiled, or stolen during transit. If your meat arrives warm (defined as above 40 degrees with the tip of a thermometer in the middle of the meat) due to a delay or goes missing, please file a claim through our Claims Portal within 24 hours of delivery. We will prioritize a replacement or store credit for approved claims.

  • Fraud Prevention & Claim Verification: Because our products are perishable, all claims for spoiled or missing items must be submitted within 24 hours of the carrier’s recorded delivery time. You must include clear photographs of both the damaged product and the original packaging with a thermometer showing the internal meat temperature measured from the middle of the meat. Buck Wild Bison LLC reserves the right to deny any claim, require further investigation, or revoke future purchasing privileges if we suspect fraud, false claims, or abuse of the Order Protection program.

  • For Orders WITHOUT Order Protection: If you chose to opt-out of Order Protection, Buck Wild Bison is not responsible for packages that are spoiled, lost, or stolen once they have been handed over to the carrier. We will provide tracking information, but any claims for missing or damaged shipments must be handled directly with the carrier (e.g., UPS).

  • Packaging: Small punctures in vacuum-sealed packaging can happen when shipping frozen meat — the packaging can shift during transit, but this does not affect the safety or quality of the product itself. The meat will remain in a fully sealed insulated container that remains closed throughout transit. Because the cold chain is maintained, the product is safe to transfer directly to your freezer and consume as planned.

The customer is responsible for actively tracking the delivery via the UPS tracking code provided to ensure that the delivery does not remain outside for more than 1 hour.
